As mentioned elsewhere in this site, fire extinguishers come in various types (classes) and sizes but they all operate in a similar manner. You pull the safety pin. Aim the nozzle towards the base of the fire. Squeeze the handle and then, Sweep the nozzle back and forth – again aimed at the base of the fire.
Just remember the acronym P.A.S.S. – Pull – Aim – Squeeze – Sweep
